Strategies to get the optimal Wilmington, NC rental home experience:

Get the best value:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Wilmington, NC area. To find the most suitable rental within budget, we suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides contain offers and deals for local shops and restaurants.

Filter your search:

  • Begin by choosing your vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Sunset views over Jinks Creek & Intracoastal has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before booking the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what is suitable for your group.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or costs might be applied to your contract.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .

During your stay:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Lock your rental while you are out. Protect your property!
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, note any problem areas when you arrive. text the property manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
