Excellent oceanfront vistas! Centrally located on Oak Island, Altamarea is convenient to local activities, stores, and eateries, as well as the bridge leading to historic Southport and its many stores and historic points of interest.
Two flat-screen TV's (one in living room and one in loft), one DVD player (located in loft), wireless internet access. Enormous dining table seats eight, with additional bar stools at kitchen counter. Outside shower with hot and cold water, oceanfront covered porch with furnishings.
So whether your idea of a vacation is taking long naps in the island breeze, exploring local landmarks, or teeing up for 18 holes at one of the area's playable but challenging golf courses, you will find your island home at Altamarea!
About the Area
Located on the beach, this vacation home is in Yaupon Beach, a neighborhood in Oak Island. Oak Island Lighthouse and Bald Head Island Lighthouse are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Oak Island Golf Club and Founders Club at St. James Plantation. North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport and North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher are also worth visiting. Scuba diving and fishing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with horse riding and cycling nearby.
