About this Property

  • Sleeps 8
  • 3 Bedrooms
  • 2 Bathrooms
  • Private vacation home
  • Approximately 1700 square feet

Welcome to our beach home! This is our vacation home and we stay here often with our friends and family. We keep it as nice and clean as possible, and are always upgrading. We have 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with 3 King beds and two twin beds, all linens included. We have an office with everything you need to work from The Beach! Monitor, printer, shredder, paper, etc. Our 1700 sf home is thoroughly cleaned after each guest.

Our House has a great layout for multiple families. The master bedroom is on one side of the home and the other bedrooms and bathroom are on the other side of the home. The humongous family room is in the middle. The covered front patio is great to sit in the shade with a drink and the fans running to keep you cool. There is also a gate to keep your dog out there with you. The deck in the back is good for getting some sun.

Savor spectacular the sunrises and sunsets on the unique South facing Oak Island. Let your only worry in the world be, 'is the tide gonna reach my chair' -Zac Brown Band

Bringing your boat? The public water access is just a few blocks over. The driveway is big enough to store your boat trailer, or there’s a public lot by the water access. We have beach chairs, beach towels, body boards, and a cooler for you to use. If it rains on your beach vacation don’t worry our family room comfortably seats 8+ to watch a movie! There are plenty of games for the kids and the adults. There’s a covered patio in the front and a enormous open deck in the back.

The location is fantastic! About a 1/2 mile to the beach, 1/2 block from the Intracoastal Waterway, a 3 blocks from the grocery store, ice cream, eateries, shopping, miniature golf, and everything Oak Island has to offer. Oak Island has a great modest town feel with only a couple 'chain' businesses. The vast majority of stores and eateries are locally owned modest business. Please visit as many as you can, you will not be disappointed.

Historic Southport is a short 20 min. drive to savor the southern appeal, shopping, and eateries. Hop on a ferry to striking Bald Head Island. Or the car ferry will take you to Fort Fisher, and then a short drive to Wilmington.

I will provide you with a very modest amount of necessities in case you check in late and cannot get to the store until the following day (paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, trash bags, etc). This is just a starter pack, not enough for your entire stay.

Well behaved dogs are welcome - if caged at nighttime and when you are gone. Dogs are NOT allowed on the furnishings or in the beds! You must bring your own cage. There will be a one time $150.00 pet fee, max 2 dogs. Sorry, no cats or any other animals allowed. The dog rules MUST be followed. If your dog is not well behaved, this might not be the best place to bring your furry friend.

For everybody's safety and security we have video surveillance on the outside of the building - nothing inside.

Tricks and tips to get the best rental experience:

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local Wilmington, NC visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines contain money saving offers on local shops and restaurants.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Begin by choosing your a vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Knee Deep in the Water Somewhere has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If there's a certain Wilmington, NC destination you long to visit, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
  • Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
  • Document any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many concerns.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a great time? Many rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
