Finding the best vacation property experience:

Find your perfect vacation home:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer time is high season in Holden Beach. To get the most suitable rental home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wilmington, NC area travel guide magazines that include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to choose the best vacation rental in the Wilmington, NC area:

  • Begin by selecting potential vacation weeks and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. \"Serenity By The Sea\" - Oceanfront Home w\/ Private Pool, 5 Bedrooms \/ 4.5 Bathrooms has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the property owner before booking the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental

More tips for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas during check in. Call the property manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a great time? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
