The open concept living area features a wall-mounted HD flat screen TV so that your family can gather to savor the big game or a favorite movie. The dining table seats six, with seating for four more available at the adjoining breakfast bar. The kitchen is completely outfitted with everything you need to prepare and serve favorite family recipes or fresh local seafood to your crew.

Just off the living area is a standard full bathroom, which also homes a stackable washer and dryer. The first bedroom is also located on this level, featuring a double bed and two twin beds. There is a wall-mounted flat screen TV available for personal entertainment. Upstairs, there are two more bedrooms, each with its own TV, ocean vistas and direct access to the upper level deck. One room is furnished with a queen bed and the other contains two twins. An additional full bathroom with a standard tub/shower combo is located upstairs.

Off the kitchen, the screened-in porch contains a table for dining and a ceiling fan for those days when the sea breeze isn’t rather enough to keep you cool. There’s an enclosed shower with hot and cold water located under the home as well, ideal for rinsing off the sand when you return home from the beach, as well as a hose for cleaning off toys and equipment. A picnic table on this level provides a cool and shady additional dining spot.

When you’re ready to hit the sand, simply turn left and a fast two-min. walk down the road takes you to the closest public beach access. And if you’d rather dine out in the evenings rather than cooking in, turn right instead, where you’ll find multiple trendy eateries, including Shagger Jacks and Solar Brewing Company, within a 10-min. walk. No matter what your ideal beach vacation entails, you’ll find it here. Book your Sunkissed stay today!

Tips and Tricks to get the optimal Wilmington, NC vacation rental experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To find the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, , and reduced traffic.
  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines have discounts for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

How to pick the best rental home in the Wilmington, NC area:

  • Begin by choosing your a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Sunkissed: Comfy Cottage with Ocean Views and Close Beach Access has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before reserving the home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the owner's contact info to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute is filed.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • On check-out day, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a wonderful stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
