Finding the best Bald Head Island vacation property experience:

Find your perfect rental:

  • To get the best value, change your family's Wilmington, NC vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Often, management companies supply Wilmington, NC area visitor guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Begin by selecting the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Classic Coastal Carolina Beach House 4 BR 3 Baths Walk to Beach Pet Friendly has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wilmington, NC rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the host before you reserve the home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If there's an individual Wilmington, NC beach you long to visit, keep an eye out for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • Make a record of any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if damages are assessed.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect your property!
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a wonderful stay? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
