Location, location....Cozy 3BR, 2BA elevated home located in a peaceful neighborhood in the heart of Oak Island. Conveniently located within painless walking distance (5-15min.) to eateries, breweries, coffee stores, grocery store, shopping, ice cream, the Inter-coastal Waterway, and of course, the BEACH. Turtleheart is close to it all, but off the beaten path, in a relaxing neighborhood where you can slow down, catch your breath, relax, relax, and savor the island vibe the turtle way.
The home sleeps six comfortably with three comfortable bedrooms, featuring the primary bedroom with a king bed and private bathroom. The other two charmingly appointed bedrooms have queen beds and share the main bathroom. Linens, bath towels, wash cloths, soap, shampoo, hair dryers are supplied. No need to live out of your suite case as each bedroom has closet space and there is a full size washer and dryer available. You should bring your own beach towels. If you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of one of the near by eateries and you appreciate cooking and a good home cooked meal, the kitchen is completely outfitted with all the tools you need for meal preparation, serving and storing those leftovers. If cooking outdoors is your thing, there is a brand new, King Broil, four burner grille in the backyard, handsome grille. There is plenty of space to relax and relax with a screened back porch to enjoy your morning coffee, the open front porch for calming in the late day sun, and the cooling breezeway under the home to chill. There is a lift for getting heavy items, bags, groceries to the main floor (no people on the lift). Wi-fi with high speed internet (1G) is available.

It is .5 mile (8 min. walk) to get to the beach, with beach access and parking at 49th or 46th St. with bathroom facilities available.
Middleton Park is .4 miles away and offers pickleball, tennis, and basketball courts, play ground, skate park, splash pad, open fields, and sponsors weekly concerts during the summer. Oak Island nature center is .6 miles away at the end of 52nd St. on the ICW and is a great place watch the sunrise. Bring your boat, there is a public boat launch on the ICW with trailer parking at 55th street only .7 miles away.

Looking to expand your adventures beyond Oak Island. Historic Southport is only a 15min. drive and has a vibrant main street with many delightful eateries and stores to discover. If you are craving the city vibe, Wilmington is about a 40 min. drive. Up the adventure and take the Fort Fisher Ferry to get there, it only cost $7/car.
Wilmington's international airport is about a 45 min. drive north and Myrtle Beach's International Airport is about 1.5 hours to the south.
The island is golf cart friendly. If you want a golf cart during your stay we suggest you rent one when you book your vacation (we hear they can run out), there are numerous rental companies that service the island.
