Tips to get the perfect Wilmington, NC vacation property experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Summer time is high season in Ocean Isle Beach. Reserve your Wilmington, NC vacation in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wilmington, NC area travel guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing and booking your prefectrental home:

  • Choose dates and maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Sea La Vie I Brunswick Vacation Rentals has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before you book your rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what configuration is best for your group.
  • Does your group require specific amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • If your family is bringing pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

During your stay:

  • We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Call the host right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
