***Carolina Condo..... professionally Owned and Managed by Carolina Vacays, LLC.***

Want to be 1 block away from Front St. and the Riverfront...the heart of Downtown Wilmington?

Want to park the car for the weekend and walk to all the Downtown eateries, breweries, drinkeries, stores, and wedding venues?

Then, Our 2nd St. Condo is for you!!

This building was originally part of the horse stable section in the early years of Wilmington. During the mid-1990's the building was modernized into 4 residential condos with a retail space on the first floor....currently Gallery Citrine Art Gallery.
During the great pandemic, we painstakingly refreshed our unit to bring the original building character back while adding Mid-Century Modern furnishings.

********Please note there is NO ELEVATOR in this building. To reach the unit, you must walk up stairs.*********

You will adore its eclectic vibe!! And remember....NEVER a Pet Fee or Pet Deposit charged! We want to travel with our doggie and want you to do the same!

What to do......

Tricks and tips to get the perfect rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To get the most suitable rental home within your budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local Wilmington, NC area magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for local shops and restaurants.

Planning and choosing a perfect Wilmington, NC rental:

  • First and foremost, have your group choose vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. Carolina Condo - Doggies Welcome…NO PET FEES or PET DEPOSITS!!! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before reserving the home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Document any damages to the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Upon check-out, take a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
