  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good ratings to compel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review.
