How to find the best vacation rental experience:

When to visit Wrightsville Beach & When to reserve a rental home:

  • The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To find the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Some owners offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wilmington, NC area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Make a plan and choose the perfect Wilmington, NC rental:

  • First and foremost, have your group select the best dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Surf N' Dolphins - 4 bedroom \/ 4.5 bath oceanfront home has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the host before booking the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
  • If there's a specific Wilmington, NC beach you love, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

More tips for your stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the host immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on good ratings to stimulate new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
