Casa Blanca Wrightsville Beach freshly had a propane pool heater put in. The cost if you would like the pool heated during your stay is $350 per week. Please let me know if this is something you are interested in so we can arrange to have it turned on during your stay. The heater is brand new so it should work great. It will take the pool from 65 degrees to 85 degrees so you and your guests would be able to savor the pool during the off season. If you have young ones joining you this would be a really fun addition. The pool is open year round but it would be chilly after mid October unless you opt to heat it. Please note that we cannot guarantee the pool heater and will refund the $350 charge in the event it does not work. The salt ocean is very hard and the heaters only last a short time at the beach. We are not able to give discounts on your nightly rental rate only a refund on the heater charge. It is only a few years old so it should work great though.

Wrightsville Beach rental home tips:

Finding the best rental home value:

  • Summer months are high season in the Wilmington, NC area. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Some owners offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Wilmington, NC visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines have coupons for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Choosing the perfect vacation home:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Luxury Estate on the Ocean -Casa Blanca with Oceanfront HEATED Pool has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property owner before booking your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
  • Visiting for a single event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

More considerations:

  • Add the host's contact information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • At Check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to drive new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
